a hip cafe that offers breakfast, lunch AND dinner
Many restaurants can cook up some good food. However, finding a place that uses quality ingredients, as well as making something delightful? Not always so easy to find. Corner cafe is always packed, and for good reason--delicious food cooked to perfection. We came for Brunch and it was perfect. Breakfast for moi, and Lunch for Debra. Like many places in Rhode Island it's BYOB, so no mimosas sadly (they will provide orange juice for your champagne though!). Corner Cafe is a very cozy and warm space, and the workers make you feel welcomed right as you walk in.
Coffee - this place had some really good brew (must have had three cups at least!)
Water - refilled regularly
Debra (Burger) - After walking up and down this particular street for food, we finally decided on Corner Cafe cause one: Natalia’s been here before, and I trust her food opinions. And two: I was starting to get a bit hangry, so I needed some food ASAP. I’m a burger girl, and this patty was deliciously medium-rare. It was topped with this roasted garlic & herb cream cheese, which upped the burger by a TON. However, the real spotlight was the country potatoes!! There were no regrets ordering these country potatoes that were coated with olive oil and herbs. The inside was soft, and the outside was just the right crispy. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal!
Natalia (Full Breakfast) - I love me some breakfast. Probably my favourite meal of the day and this place is no exception. Not a single thing to complain about regarding their food. Irish Soda toast (with butter, of course), eggs over-easy, ham, country potatoes, and pancakes with walnuts (they didn’t even charge for the walnuts!). Everything was cooked to perfection, truly almost like a home-cooked meal. Plus they had legit Maple syrup, which is always worth bonus points. Corner Cafe’s potatoes though…beyond delicious. I hate the phrase “it melts in your mouth” but it really applies here. Crunchy outside, and just soaked in herbed olive oil--so rich, and so damn good. One of the best servings of country style potatoes that I’ve ever tasted.
